But that begs the question–who are “the dems”? It’s important to remember that the Unity Is Power shirt that Biden this year is going to become the Democratic nominee isn’t because of some shadowy backroom conspiracy, it’s simply the result of millions of every day registered Democrat voters choosing Biden (or other centrist candidates before they dropped out and those voters moved to Biden). And the vaunted youth vote that was supposed to come out in force and propel Bernie to the nomination hasn’t panned out, meaning either they weren’t motivated enough to come out and vote, or there aren’t the numbers people think there are of those folks within the progressive movement/Democratic party. I think in the end, this is the thing so many people miss. Just like Trump was an expression of what Republican rank and file voters voted for in their primary, Biden, like Hillary before him, is the expression of what a majority Democratic rank and file voters apparently want. So the blame lies with no one but the voters themselves. This is what they want, this is what they get.
